Community Action Forums in Kismayo have installed Solar Street Lights in the Kismayo Neighborhoods. The purpose of these lights is to reduce violence, killings, robberies, and rape cases in these areas at night.
Residents of these neighborhoods have said that the lights will contribute to the safety and security of the community at night and businesses will be operational at night from now on.

Somali Women Soldarity Organization -SWSO in partnership with Saferworld has facilitated the installations of solar street lights in Kismayo Neighborhoods.
