SWSO and the Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction, and Housing of the Jubaland State have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to take over a 45-member committee trained by SWSO to resolve the land disputes and advocate for victims.

The 45-member committee will be attached/come under the Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction and Housing of Jubaland state and will apply the five years of skills and Knowledge they have gained from the Somali Women Solidarity organization (SWSO).

 The head of SWSO, Zuhur Yusuf Beynah, called on the ministry to work closely with the Land dispute resolution committee on the opportunities available for capacity building and employment.

The Director-General of the Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction and Housing of the Jubaland State, Mr. Mohamed Wali Ali, who signed the agreement on behalf of the Ministry, thanked SWSO for its efforts and commended SWSO for its support. The Director-General promised that they will benefit from the skills and knowledge of the committee and that it came (the MoU) at a time when there was a great need for a competent land dispute resolution committee for the Jubaland State of Somalia.
